Pre Production Forms

As part of the pre production process for my media products,  I have proposed my idea and prepared for legal requirements, including safety and ethical issues. This is what any professionally film company would have to do before filming and distributing their film campaign.

Below is an example of one of my actors contract. Each has been signed by my actors/ actresses, after they had read the terms and conditions of filming.

I researched Pluckley Village council on the internet and found the villages website, which had contact details for the council, who i was then able to email.

Below is an overall events schedule plan. This has helped me to group together different maain sections of the production process.

Evaluation of Pitch

I feel that my pitch went well in the aspect that I demonstrated an exploration of the ideas for my film campaign in detail, including relevant resources as examples from my research, showing that I can originate and research ideas for media products.

I think my ideas were clear, conveying an even balance between having my own unique selling point and using existing codes and conventions from the horror genre. I feel that maybe the way I presented these ideas however slightly let me down, and therefore did not demonstrate them in a powerful and confidnet way.

I feel that I have clearly shown through my pitch, with the use of psychographics that I have researched my target audience's needs and commercial viability. I think that I could have displayed more of this knowledge within my pitch, by adding further examples of the results I had received from my questionnaires and focus groups I have completed. I do however think that I have validated that I have used both qualitative and quantative data when researching and analysing my audience, as I have envolved the attutdies and opinions of a sample of my audience, while also evaluating the data within graphics from my questionnaire results.

Exploratory Work - Editing images

Original Image

This is the original image that I took myself. It was hard to sustain quality throughout the photographs i took, because they were taking at night. This meant that features became very dark and the light patches from the torch were temperamental and did not always work as planned. I do however like the composition of this image, and I think using an image manipulation software to edit this picture, could improve the appearance of it.

To the right is the final edited image.
I have created this effect, by firstly adding a sharpening filter, which enhanced the outlines and features within the photograph. I then adjusted the brightness and contrast levels, which gave this finished effect. I like this because it gives more focus to the face, which is important to display the emotion of the main character who is shown within the image.
